Bringing Back the Classics
What Sets Nostalgia Apart
Contemporary designs frequently balance function and aesthetics while leaning more toward the business aspects of the design. Genius boatbuilders of the past, were masters at creating hulls that were real in terms of performance yet uncommonly beautiful in form.
Bringing back that abiding spirit of form, function and downright pretty boats is a primary objective of Nostalgia Boatworks. We look forward to playing a role in your dream boat plans.

Craftsmanship
Traditional watercraft, with their elegant lines and meticulous woodworking, elicit an immediate response. Boat lovers caress the decks and brush the gunnels. The old “labor of love” adage fully applies at Nostalgia Boatworks.
An ever attentive eye toward the past isn’t blind to the potential of the future. All Nostalgia-built hulls are produced via the state-of-the-art Vacuum Infusion Process of laminating. Vacuum Infusion results in the best possible resin-to-fiber ratio, which means hulls are optimal in terms of strength yet minimal in terms of weight.

About Nostalgia
Nostalgia Boatworks was newly founded in 2024. However, owners have a long history of composite boatbuilding that started in the early 1970s making whitewater racing canoes and kayaks — in fact, they constructed boats that won five Gold Medals at Whitewater World Championships. Later efforts moved toward ultralight recreational canoes and kayaks — some as light as ten pounds. And now, they’re branching out into traditional boats with an eye toward Bringing Back the Classics. The owners are fully involved and doing well even as they approach eighty. On the other hand, younger Team members are providing vitality, skills and energy. It’s still family owned; it’s just that the family (Team) has gotten bigger. What a Blessing!
